The Observatory Practice Hypnotherapy Training centre in Plymouth (CPHTplymouth) welcomes Glenn Catley DHP former W.B.C .Super middleweight Champion of the world. Glenn Catley was a professional Boxer for 12 years, winning the British Middleweight Championship in January 1998 and subsequently went on to become the W.B.C. Super middleweight Champion of the world in 2000. The first time Glenn implemented Hypnotherapy was for his British Championship Fight against Nevill Brown, and as he’s been quoted as saying (On the night I boxed Brown, I felt like I could have beaten three Mike Tysons in the same night) That was the amount of Confidence by way of hypnotherapy he had in being able to beat Brown and become British Middleweight Champion. Glenn quotes that the benefits of Solution Focused Brief Hypnotherapy for Eliminating Negativity and Establishing Confidence within Sport is as Rewarding and is as beneficial as physical Practice where there are inherent limitations. Since retiring from boxing Glenn has now qualified as a clinical Hypnotherapist and psychotherapist and is a fellow member of the National Council of Hypnotherapists where his aim is to help clients with Sporting Performance Anxiety, Stress, Panic Attacks, Phobias Smoking and much more. Mr Catley, who lives with his wife Kelli and four children in Frampton Cotterell, said: “I make no secret of the fact I used hypnotherapy throughout my boxing career. “Although people make a joke out of it, psychology in sport is becoming more recognised and people are seeing its benefits. It’s phenomenal how it benefited me. “My bread and butter will be helping people for things like anxiety, bad habits and smoking but I would like to help sports people with their performance.” Glenn is talking to the students about how hypnotherapy can be used to help sports men and women acheieve sporting excellence. “I would say that Glenn is one of the best speaker I have ever heard, he is one of the few speakers that can project his passion and has the ability to inspire anyone !” If you would like more information, check out Glenn site www.hypnosports.com
