Hi, I am Jamie Hopkins a fully qualified clinical hypnotherapist. I hold a diploma in solution focused hypnotherapy. I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists and the National Council of Hypnotherapy.
I pride myself in setting high standards and always doing something to the best of my ability.
After spending over 20 years as a medic in the Royal Navy I decided I needed a change in direction.
During my time in the Navy I have been lucky enough to serve all over the world including operational tours in Sierra Leone, Bosnia and Afghanistan. I have always enjoyed helping people. Through various roles within the Navy I have enjoyed coaching, teaching and being a mentor to people. One of the most rewarding aspects of my career was helping people to be the best that they could be.
I conducted my hypnotherapy training with the well renowned Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training school at The Observatory Practice in Plymouth. I can safely say that the course has changed my life. Throughout my hypnotherapy training I began to see more and more the power our mind has and how by learning to control our emotions we can help create positive outcomes and move to towards a preferred future.
I understand how hectic life can be and the importance of time, so I offer evening and weekend appointments. My sessions are always very positive as I see this is the key to tackling issues such as anxiety and helping many other conditions such as phobias, weight loss, stopping smoking plus many more. My aim is to help you become the person you want to be and help you to achieve your goals.
Although originally from South Wales I now live in the beautiful city of Plymouth. I love to explore to countryside and this helps with my love of photography. I play golf and take part in triathlons to stay fit and one of my proudest moments was completing the gruelling Ironman triathlon.
I am lucky to have the support of my amazing wife and 3 beautiful children.
